Text Box: About Javao Valerie LaFond Oropallo, MA is the founder of JCS and a training consultant with almost twenty years experience designing and facilitating trainings for numerous groups and organizations. Valerie worked on and led teams for over ten of those years, which led to her interest in fostering team collaboration and improving team performance. A snapshot of Valerie’s work includes: Facilitated Team Building trainings for sales people, hotel supervisors, human resources departments, and a government support agency. Workshops on time and stress management, conflict resolution, leading change, diversity, communication skills, and personal and professional vision. Presentations on Supervisory Skills to manufacturing team leaders, town government department heads, and mid-level school managers. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) training for library employees, and groups in the tourism and hospitality industry. Prior to starting Javao, Valerie taught at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Adirondack Community College. She earned her Master’s from Sage Graduate School in 1996, and also holds undergraduate degrees in Business/Psychology and Marketing. Valerie is a certified trainer for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
